The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harbor-UCLA  in conjunction with the Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center provides the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentistry and many specialized dental services for qualified patients.

“The specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is that part of dental practice which encompasses the diagnosis, and surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the function and esthetics of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region” (ADA.org).

Other dental services we offer to qualified patients include preventive, restorative (fillings), limited prosthodontics (dentures), pediatric and geriatric care. Qualified patients are medically compromised patients (2 or more ongoing systemic diseases) who are referred by a physician which also include oncology, cardiothoracic, dialysis and transplant referrals.

We provide this care through our two residency programs, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and General Practice Residency (GPR).  Through these programs we seek to develop a diverse group of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and General Dentists who will seek social justice and promote wellness by delivering compassionate competent care to underserved populations. To train dentists and surgeons who are clinically excellent as well as fostering an interest in clinically relevant research which will provide the bases for safe and effective patient management.

To make a clinic appointment please call (310) 222-3493.
